It’s also a great make-ahead dessert because it gets even better after a few hours in the refrigerator. Top it with plenty of crushed Oreos right before serving and you’re done!

Ingredients

Oreo Crust

  • 24 Oreos
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping, taken from the 8 oz tub

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk

Topping

  • Remaining whipped topping
  • 6–8 additional Oreos, roughly crushed, for topping

Instructions

  1. Crush 24 Oreos into fine crumbs. Stir in the melted butter until evenly combined.
  2. Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8 or 9×9-inch dish. Refrigerate while you prepare the remaining layers.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of the whipped topping.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust.
  5. Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened. Let stand for a few minutes, then gently spread it over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the chocolate pudding.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best texture.
  8. Just before serving, sprinkle the top generously with the additional crushed Oreos.
