Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6–8
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- Add the lime juice and gently mash with a fork until you reach your desired consistency (slightly chunky is best).
- Stir in the red onion, tomato, jalapeño, and cilantro.
- Season with the salt, cumin, and black pepper. Mix gently until everything is evenly combined.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. For even more flavor, let the guacamole rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips, fresh vegetables, tacos, fajitas, or your favorite Mexican dishes.
Tip: For the freshest flavor and brightest color, use ripe avocados and freshly squeezed lime juice. If making ahead, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole to help prevent browning.
