Easy Taco Pizza

If you love tacos and pizza, this easy Taco Pizza is the best of both worlds. It starts with refrigerated pizza dough, so there’s no homemade crust or complicated prep involved. Just add plenty of cheese, seasoned taco meat, peppers, onion, green chiles and tomatoes, then bake until everything is hot, bubbly and golden.

I use Prego Spicy Marinara instead of traditional pizza sauce because it adds a little extra kick that works really well with the taco-seasoned beef. Mozzarella gives you that classic melty pizza cheese, while the Mexican blend adds even more flavor.

This is an easy weeknight dinner, but it would also be great for game day, movie night or a casual get-together. Serve it as-is or set out sour cream, salsa, avocado and jalapeños so everyone can add their favorite taco toppings.

Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 (13.8 oz) can thin refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 lb cooked taco-seasoned ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Prego Spicy Marinara Sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles, drained
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes, drained well
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly coat a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Gently press or stretch the dough into an even rectangle.
  3. Spread the Prego Spicy Marinara evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, followed by the Mexican blend cheese.
  5. Top with the cooked taco meat, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, red onion, green chiles and diced tomatoes.
  6. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Baking time may vary slightly depending on the brand of refrigerated dough.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the pizza rest for 3–5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Optional Toppings

Serve with shredded lettuce, sour cream, salsa, avocado, sliced jalapeños or your favorite taco toppings.

Tip: Be sure to drain the green chiles and diced tomatoes well before adding them. Too much liquid can make the pizza soggy.
