There’s something about sweet, spicy and salty together that makes a pizza hard to stop eating, and this Hot Honey Pepperoni & Goat Cheese Pizza has all three. Crispy pepperoni and bubbly mozzarella keep it classic, while creamy goat cheese and a drizzle of hot honey give it a little something extra.
Using refrigerated pizza dough keeps this one easy enough for a weeknight. I like using a simple Classico pizza sauce here instead of a spicy marinara—the pepperoni brings plenty of savory flavor, while the hot honey adds just the right amount of heat and sweetness.
Serve it with a simple salad for dinner or cut it into smaller squares for game day or an easy appetizer.
Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 (13.8 oz) can thin refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup Classico Traditional Pizza Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 25–30 pepperoni slices
- 3–4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons hot honey, plus more for serving
- Crushed red pepper flakes, optional
- Fresh basil, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly coat a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto the prepared pan. Gently press or stretch it into an even rectangle.
- Spread the Classico pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the sauce. Arrange the pepperoni over the mozzarella, then scatter the crumbled goat cheese over the top.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes, if using.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown, the mozzarella is melted and bubbly and the pepperoni edges are beginning to crisp.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle about 2 tablespoons of hot honey evenly over the pizza.
- Top with fresh basil, if desired. Let rest for 3–5 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra hot honey on the side for anyone who wants a little more.
Tip: Don’t overdo the goat cheese. Small crumbles scattered across the pizza give you creamy, tangy bites without overpowering the pepperoni and hot honey.
