Bake Time: 14–17 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8
Ingredients
Pizza
- 1 (13.8-ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough (or about 1 pound fresh pizza dough)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon fine salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon melted butter, for brushing the crust after baking
Vanilla Cream Cheese Drizzle
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a pizza pan or large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the pizza dough and gently stretch it into an 11–12-inch circle, leaving the outer edge slightly thicker for a soft, puffy crust.
- Brush the entire surface of the dough with the 3 tablespoons melted butter.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Bake for 14–17 minutes, or until the crust is deep golden, the center is fully baked, and the cinnamon sugar is melted and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and immediately brush the outer crust with the remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter for a rich, bakery-style finish.
- While the pizza cools for about 5 minutes, prepare the drizzle. Beat together the cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and enough milk to create a smooth, pourable consistency.
- Generously drizzle the vanilla cream cheese icing over the warm pizza.
- Slice and serve warm.
Tips
- Sprinkle a little coarse sparkling sugar over the pizza just before baking for a beautiful bakery-style sparkle.
- Add chopped toasted pecans after baking for extra crunch.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra-special dessert.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Warm individual slices in the microwave for 10–15 seconds before serving.
Texas Girl Cooks Tip
For the best flavor and texture, let the pizza cool for about 5 minutes before adding the cream cheese drizzle. The icing will soften over the warm cinnamon sugar without completely melting, giving every bite the perfect creamy finish.
