These Greek Chicken Pita Wraps are loaded with juicy seasoned chicken, crisp veggies, salty feta and creamy tzatziki, all wrapped up in warm, soft pita bread. The chicken cooks quickly in a skillet with lemon, garlic, oregano and paprika, making this an easy dinner that still has plenty of fresh flavor.
I love these for a lighter weeknight meal, but they’re also great for lunches or casual get-togethers. Set out the chicken, veggies, feta and tzatziki and let everyone build their own. Serve them with Greek salad, roasted potatoes or a simple side of fresh fruit.
Ingredients
- 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips or bite-size pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 pita breads or flatbreads
- 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- ½ cucumber, diced
- ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- ½ cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chicken, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 7–9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through to 165°F.
- Warm the pita breads or flatbreads in the microwave or in a dry skillet until soft and pliable.
- Layer each pita with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion. Add the chicken, then top with feta cheese and tzatziki sauce.
- Fold or roll up and serve immediately.
Quick Tip: Store-bought tzatziki and pre-chopped lettuce make these even easier. The chicken can also be cooked ahead of time and reheated when you’re ready to assemble the wraps.
