Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • Chopped romaine lettuce (about 1 heart or 2–3 cups)
  • 2–3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 can ranch style beans, drained if desired
  • Fritos, to taste
  • Catalina dressing, to taste
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, to taste

Preparation

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add taco seasoning according to package directions and simmer until well combined. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large serving bowl, combine chopped iceberg lettuce and romaine lettuce.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and ranch style beans.
  5. Add the seasoned ground beef.
  6. Sprinkle generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Add Fritos just before serving to keep them crunchy.
  8. Drizzle with Catalina dressing to taste.
  9. Toss gently and serve immediately.

Tip

For the best texture, add the Fritos and Catalina dressing right before serving so everything stays crisp and fresh.
