5. Mini Corn Dog Lunch

Prepare frozen mini corn dogs according to the package directions. Let them cool slightly before packing, or keep them warm in an insulated food container. Add ketchup, grapes, baby carrots and applesauce.

6. Cheesy Beef Burrito

Brown ground beef and season lightly with taco seasoning. Spoon onto a small flour tortilla, sprinkle with shredded cheddar and roll into a burrito. Serve with salsa, corn and orange slices.

7. Chicken Caesar Pinwheels

Combine chopped cooked chicken with a small spoonful of Caesar dressing. Spread onto a flour tortilla, sprinkle with shredded Parmesan and add a little chopped romaine if desired. Roll tightly and slice. Pack with grapes, pretzels and cucumber slices.

8. Breakfast Sandwich Lunch

Cook an egg into a small round, then layer it with cheddar cheese on a toasted English muffin. Add a slice of cooked sausage or bacon if you’d like. Pack with strawberries, yogurt and a mini muffin.

9. Turkey Club Roll-Ups

Spread a flour tortilla with a thin layer of mayo or cream cheese. Layer with turkey, cheddar and cooked bacon. Roll tightly and slice into pinwheels. Serve with apple slices, crackers and cucumbers.

10. Mac & Cheese Lunch

Prepare your favorite macaroni and cheese and pack it warm in an insulated container. Add cooked chicken bites for a little extra protein, with grapes and baby carrots on the side.

These lunches are also easy to customize, so don’t worry about following the combinations exactly. Swap fruits, veggies and snacks based on what you already have in the fridge or pantry. A few simple options in rotation can make packing school lunches feel a whole lot less repetitive.
