Ingredients
For the Beef
- 1½ pounds lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Hot Honey Sauce
- ¼ cup hot honey
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
Bowls
- 3 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 2 cups roasted broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup cucumber slices
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds or chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk together the hot honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 1 minute.
- Pour the hot honey sauce over the beef and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
- Divide the warm rice among four bowls.
- Arrange the roasted broccoli, carrots, avocado, cucumber, and cheese around the rice.
- Spoon the hot honey beef over the center of each bowl.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds or parsley. Drizzle with a little extra hot honey if you like a sweet-and-spicy finish.
