Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

For the Sauce

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Add-Ins

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 oz penne pasta (or pasta of choice)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.

Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.

Add broccoli and pasta to the skillet. Stir to combine and cover. Cook until the pasta is tender and the broccoli is bright green.

Return the chicken to the skillet and toss everything together until coated in the creamy Parmesan sauce.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Quick Tips

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save even more time.
  • Swap broccoli for spinach, asparagus, or peas.
  • Add extra Parmesan on top before serving.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
